Jorge Andres H.

Jorge Andres H. has a wealth of experience in the GIS, Python, and geospatial software engineering fields. Jorge Andres began their career in 2014 as an Academic Assistant for GIS and Databases at the Universidad Distrital Francisco Jose de Caldas. In 2016, they became a GIS Technician at Arco C&C, where they were responsible for coordinating flooding phenomenon studies, managing geospatial databases, and processing and analyzing satellite images. In 2017, they were promoted to Geomatic Engineer at Arco C&C, where they were responsible for planning, generating, and processing drone images to obtain base products for the generation of thematic inputs in Risk Management and territorial planning. In 2018, they became a Junior Python Developer at the Servicio Geologico Colombiano. In 2019, they were a GIS Developer at Geoproyecciones, where they developed Android and Web mapping under languages such as JavaScript, HTML, and Python, and managed Postgres databases in Postgis geographical data. Jorge Andres was also a GIS Engineer at the Fundacion para la Conservacion y el Desarrollo Sostenible, where they interpreted and developed methodologies for deforestation detection and generated Python codes to automate pre-processing and satellite image processing. In 2020, they were a Geospatial Software Developer and Project Manager/Geo Information Systems at FORLIANCE, where they were responsible for forest monitoring, developing interactive maps, mapping concepts and solutions for land use projects, and conducting baseline analysis for Carbon projects. Jorge Andres is currently a Geospatial Software Engineer at mundialis GmbH & Co. KG, and will be a Backend Python and GIS Developer at WHAT A LOCATION! starting in 2022.

Jorge Andres H. has a diverse education history.
