Minji Lee

Minji Lee is a seasoned data science leader currently serving as the Director of Data Science at Whatnot since 2025, focusing on the rapidly growing marketplace in the US. Prior to this role, Minji was the Director and Head of Applied and Data Science at Uber Freight from 2020 to 2025, managing a team of approximately 50 applied scientists, data scientists, and business data analysts. Minji's previous experience includes positions such as Senior Data Science Manager at KeepTruckin, Lead Data Scientist at rideOS, and Marketplace Optimization Data Scientist at Uber, where significant contributions included developing machine learning models to improve ETA estimates. Minji's early career involved working as a Data Scientist at The World Bank within the International Comparison Program. Minji holds a Bachelor's degree from Seoul National University, a Master's degree from Yale University, and is a PhD dropout from Stanford University.
