Matt Fortney is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in governmental and environmental law. Currently serving as General Counsel and previously as Associate General Counsel at the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) since January 2014, Matt has a strong background in legal practice. Prior experience includes working as an Attorney at Quarles & Brady LLP from September 2006 to January 2014, and serving as a Project Engineer in the Department of Environment for the City of Chicago from August 2001 to August 2003. Matt holds a Juris Doctor degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a Master of Science in Environmental Geotechnical Engineering from Northwestern University, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington.
