Zaid Hamed

Zaid Hamed has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Zaid most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer at wheel.me, starting in August 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Chief Production Officer at the same company from August 2021 to August 2022.

Before joining wheel.me, Zaid held the position of Chief Technical Officer at EpiGuard from April 2019 to August 2021.

From July 2015 to April 2019, Zaid worked at Prediktor Medical AS as a Senior Product Developer. In this role, they were responsible for contributing to the further development of a wearable non-invasive blood glucose measurement device and the development of new portable medical and health gauges. Zaid'sresponsibilities included sensor and electronics design and verification, along with participation in multidisciplinary design teams.

Prior to that, Zaid worked as an ELV Engineer at Turner International Middle East - Qatar from December 2011 to August 2013.

Zaid also gained valuable experience through summer internships. In 2010, they interned at JAWWAL, and in 2009, they interned at Rick Capella - Private Consulting.

Zaid Hamed completed their education at different institutions and achieved notable degrees in the field of science and engineering. From 2013 to 2015, they pursued their Master of Science (MSc) with Distinction in Smart Systems Integration at Heriot-Watt University. Prior to that, they attended The American University in Cairo from 2006 to 2011, where they earned their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Electronics Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. Zaid began their education at Friends School from 2004 to 2006, completing their International Baccalaureate (IB) without specifying a specific field of study.
