David Richard

David Richard currently serves as Senior Director of Product Experience at Wheel, leading a team focused on design and research for the Horizon platform. Concurrently, David is an Adjunct Instructor at The University of Texas at Austin, teaching courses on the Value of Design in Business. Previously, David held the position of Director of Product Design at USAA, managing a team responsible for design and research for mortgage lending products. David has also contributed as a Mentor at Capital Factory, Head of Product Design at Wellsmith Inc., and Director of Experience Design at Springbox. As a co-founder and VP Design at Design For Use, David oversaw a team dedicated to user experience design. Early in the career, David worked as a Sr. UX Designer at Alcatel-Lucent and holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and an MS in Architectural Studies from The University of Texas at Austin.
