Bethany Hunter

Director Of UX Strategy & Research at Whereoware

Bethany Hunter has a diverse work experience in the field of UX design and strategy. Starting in 2008, they worked as a Web Editor at The Free Press before transitioning to roles such as Graphic Design Intern at Opal Marketing and Internet Marketing Intern at Canon USA. From 2008 to 2011, they also served as an Office Assistant at Rochester Institute of Technology, where they were responsible for various administrative tasks. In 2011, Bethany joined Bambeco as a Designer, creating graphics for websites and emails, coding in HTML and CSS, and designing flash banners.

Bethany expanded their UX design experience at Winter Harbor Theatre Company as a Designer and Assistant to the Director. Bethany also held multiple roles at LookThink, including UX Designer, Lead UX Designer, Director of UX Design, and Director of Operations & Delivery. During their time at LookThink, they gained expertise in user experience design and management.

In 2016, Bethany became an Advisor at OutVox, where they provided guidance and support. Bethany recently joined Whereoware in 2022 as the Director of UX Strategy & Research, where they are responsible for leading user experience strategy and research initiatives.

Overall, Bethany has a well-rounded background in UX design, project management, and strategic planning, making their a valuable asset in the field.

Bethany Hunter attended the Rochester Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2011, where they obtained a BFA degree in Graphic Design, Print Media, and Art History. Prior to that, they studied Fine Arts and Information Communication at the University of Southern Maine from 2006 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Bethany has obtained several certifications in Agile and Scrum methodologies, including Scrum Foundations, Certified Agile Leadership Essentials (CAL-E), Certified Agile Leadership for Orgs (CAL-O), and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
