Erica Pinto

Erica Pinto is a Design for Sustainability Engineer at Whirlpool Corporation, where responsibilities include serving as the Water Efficiency Attribute Owner and LCA Strategy Lead. Previous experience includes roles as a Design for Sustainability Analyst Engineer and a Console Aesthetics Associate Engineer at the same company. Erica's early career includes an internship at Tesla, contributing to front-end design projects and the management of manufacturing drawings, which enhanced project efficiency. During time at BLUElab at the University of Michigan, Erica led initiatives that fostered partnerships for sustainability efforts, and conducted research on rainwater and solar energy harvesting as an undergraduate researcher at Taubman College. Erica holds a Master of Science in Design Science with a concentration in Sustainable and Human-Centered Design, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Michigan.
