Sunil Patel

Sunil Patel has extensive experience in the media and broadcasting industry. Sunil started their career as a Runner at Initial Film & TV in 1996 before moving on to work as a Researcher at IMG from 1999 to 2001. Sunil then worked as an Assistant Producer at ITV from 2001 to 2002 and at Sky from 2003 to 2003. Sunil also worked as a Producer at Sony Pictures Entertainment from 2002 to 2003 and at Perform Group from 2003 to 2004. Sunil later joined the BBC as a Producer from 2003 to 2010. Sunil is currently working at Whisper since 2010, where they hold the role of CEO & Co-Founder. Sunil is responsible for the day-to-day management and running of The Whisper Group, as well as executive producing various projects. Sunil's work at Whisper includes serving as host broadcast for several major sporting events and working with commercial clients such as Peloton, Emirates, and UBS. In addition to their work at Whisper, Sunil has also served as a Board Member for the Edinburgh TV Festival brought to you by YouTube & Screen Scotland from 2021 to 2022.

Sunil Patel attended Teddington School from 1989 to 1995, where they completed their GCSE in TV. Sunil then pursued their education at Richmond upon Thames College from 1995 to 1997, earning a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in TV, Journalism & Photography. Following that, Sunil Patel enrolled at The University of Salford from 1997 to 1999, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in TV & Radio.
