Chris Dornfeld has had a long and varied career in business and technology. Chris began their career in 1996 as an Architectural Designer for HOK, where they worked on notable projects such as the Jack Daniels Visitor Center, the Natural Theirtory Museum of the Adirondacks, and the Boeing Corporate Learning Center. In 1999, they moved to Access US as the Director of Corporate Strategy, where they created and launched DSL product and grew the company to over 25,000 customers in four states. In 2001, they became the CIO and Director of Technology for the City of St. Louis, where they were responsible for evolving government into a more efficient, accountable and productive organization. In 2004, they became the Entrepreneurship Collaboration Director at Washington University, where they developed a strategy and business plan for Innovate St. Louis. In 2006, they joined fig. as the Chief Strategy Officer, where they led the company's growth to $100m in annualized revenue and 500 employees in 18 months. In 2008, they founded Dornfeld Management Group, where they served as President and CEO. In 2011, they co-founded Bonfyre App, where they were responsible for business strategy, product strategy and the day-to-day operations of the company. Finally, in 2017, they joined Maritz Motivation Solutions as the Chief Operating Officer and VP and General Manager of Employee Programs, where they revised the strategy and transformed the business, stopping three years of decline and growing the EX business by 20% in 15 months. In 2021, they became President and Co-founder of Whistle Systems.
Chris Dornfeld attended The University of Kansas from 1990 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree. In 2002, they attended Harvard Kennedy School for a course in Government Performance/Performance Management, but did not receive a degree.
