Michelle Perin-Callahan

Michelle Perin-Callahan is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in writing, editing, and crisis counseling. As the Owner, Writer, and Editor of The Writing Hand since December 2005, Michelle has developed a strong foundation in communication. In addition, Michelle has served as a Crisis Counselor and EMT at White Bird Clinic since October 2016. Previous roles include Assistant SAFE Director and Administrative Coordinator at Jasper Mountain, where responsibilities included intake coordination for a psychiatric residential treatment facility and HIPAA compliance. Michelle's career began as a Public Safety 911 Dispatcher for the Phoenix Police Department from May 1998 to December 2005. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Indiana State University and a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies from Arizona State University.
