In Summary:

We’re looking for an experienced Scala Developer focused on Data to join us in building something new - our lakehouse. A greenfield project!
We work with a group of top IT experts to achieve real-time, data-driven use cases helping our business grow. The data team are quality-driven and has a passion for analytics and the power of positive changes. 

You will work closely with Scala Experts, data engineers, data analysts and other stakeholders to design and maintain data pipelines and models in real-time.

The Job:

• Developing and executing data pipelines in the data analytics platforms to provide accurate data on time.
• Ability to advise stakeholders on detailed technology and development practice & estimates.
• Ability to make effective decisions within fast-moving Agile delivery and to lead on troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of tools, design methodologies, and best practices for data processing
• Ability to clearly communicate technical design both written and verbally.
• Ability to collaborate with other data engineers using version control tools (e.g. Git)
• Experience in continuous integration tools and techniques

What you already have:

• At least 3-5 years of experience as a Scala Developer

• At least 2 years of experience with Data projects

• Experience with Jenkins and Kubernetes

• Creative approach in building data processing flows from scratch

• Experience in real-time data processing (streaming; Apache Kafka, Spark)

• Relational databases (PostgreSQL)

• Supporting tools (JIRA, GIT, Confluence, CI/CD)

• Excellent data modelling skills (SQL)
