Alex B.

Alex B. has a diverse work experience in the cybersecurity field. They started their career at Century College as a Student Worker, where they worked on deploying and managing lab environments for the Cybersecurity, Virtualization, and Forensics program.

After that, Alex joined CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) and progressed from an Associate Cybersecurity Consultant to a Manager Cybersecurity Consultant. In this role, they conducted various security assessments, including External Penetration Tests, Internal Vulnerability Assessments, and IT General Controls Review. They also performed social engineering tests and presented the findings to upper management. Alex was also involved in writing news articles, delivering speaking engagements on cybersecurity and other topics, and participated in the development of new service offerings.

Currently, Alex is working at White Oak Security as a Senior Manager - Threat Emulation Services. Additional information about this role and their responsibilities is not provided.

Alex B. began their education in 2008 at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a focus on Philosophy- Applied Ethics Emphasis and a minor in French. They completed their undergraduate studies in 2013.

Following their time at the University of Minnesota Duluth, Alex B. attended Century College from 2013 to 2015. Here, they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree, specializing in Cyber Security, Virtualization, and Forensics.

In addition to their formal education, Alex B. has obtained several certifications. In November 2016, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA. In July 2016, they acquired the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification from Offensive Security. Furthermore, in June 2015, they obtained the Offensive Security Wireless Professional (OSWP) certification, also from Offensive Security. Lastly, in March 2019, Alex B. received the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)².
