Christopher Aldgate has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Christopher is currently the Director at Gathering since 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Exhibitions & Operations at Gathering from 2022 to 2023. From 2012 onwards, Christopher served as the Head of Exhibition Design and Production at Whitechapel Gallery, managing various exhibitions and production projects. Christopher also held the position of Gallery Manager at Whitechapel Gallery from 2004 to 2014. Additionally, they worked as an Image Retoucher at Alpha Photographic Press Agency from 2000 to 2002 and as an Assistant Gallery Manager at Whitechapel Gallery from 2002 to 2004. Christopher also has experience as a Composite Road Frame Designer and Fabricator, specializing in carbon road racing bicycle frames and accessories.
Christopher Aldgate obtained their M.A. in Fine Art from Central St Martins (University of the Arts, London) in 2002. Christopher also holds a certification in IOSH Managing Safely, obtained in the year 2018 from the IOSH London Metropolitan Branch.
