Luis Rosales

Luis Rosales is an experienced mining professional with a strong background in mine planning and technical services. Currently serving as Mine Planning Superintendent at Whitehaven Coal since May 2021, Rosales has previously held similar roles at Batchfire Resources and significant management positions at Sojitz Coal Mining Pty Ltd. with responsibilities encompassing both technical services and production management. Early career experience includes roles as a Commercial Specialist and Medium Term Planning Superintendent at Rio Tinto, along with various engineering positions at Ensham Resources, Dawson Mine, and Moranbah North. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Mining Engineering from UNSW and a degree in Mining Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
