Gunnar Johnson

Gunnar Johnson is the Core & Shell Assistant Project Manager at The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company. Gunnar has previously worked as a Student Engineering Intern at UW-Madison, Facilities Planning & Management Division, Laboratory Research Assistant at UW Madison, Structures and Materials Testing Lab, and Project Management Intern at Donovan Construction.

Gunnar Johnson began their career as a Student Engineering Intern at UW-Madison, Facilities Planning & Management Division in January 2019. There, they performed material take-offs using Revit 2019 and utilized 3D modeling equipment to model existing lab interiors. In June 2018, they became a Laboratory Research Assistant at UW Madison, Structures and Materials Testing Lab where they conducted laboratory research concentrated on steel reinforced concrete beams and analyzed data using Microsoft Excel.

In June 2017, Johnson began working as a Project Management Intern at Donovan Construction. Gunnar worked as project engineer on transmission line projects in Northern MN and Eastern SD. Gunnar also performed take offs, unit tracking, and safety audits. In addition, they learned CRM 2016 software and taught company executives how to use this software to improve customer relations. Gunnar also learned SharePoint software and converted company files to a cloud based file system.

Their manager is Gus Garcia, Core & Shell Project Manager. Gunnar Johnson works with and TBD - Project Engineer.
