Jeanne Ortiz has extensive experience in student affairs and administration. Jeanne began their career at Loyola Marymount University in 2014 as the Dean of Students/Vice President for Student Affairs, where they oversaw various departments and initiatives, including Judicial Affairs, International Students and Scholars, and the First Year Experience Program. Jeanne provided strategic leadership for developing a campus-wide student of concern initiative. In 2019, they moved to Whittier College as the Interim Vice President and Dean of Students.
Jeanne Ortiz earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from the State University of New York at Buffalo, which they completed between 1981 and 1987. Additionally, Jeanne obtained a Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences/Home Economics Teacher Education from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania, although the exact dates for this degree are not specified.
