Xin Qi

Xin Qi is the current Head of Engineering at Wholesail. Xin has previously worked as the Director Of Engineering at Apartment List from November 2018 to April 2020. There, they managed and recruited a team of 5-8 engineers and led the team to build various infrastructure for growth. Xin also worked closely with business teams to drive customer acquisition and engagement. Prior to their work at Apartment List, Xin Qi was a Senior Engineering Manager, Payment Products at Square from August 2013 to October 2018. There, they were responsible for managing the Payment Products team and launching various payment products that generated significant revenue for Square. Xin Qi began their career as a Research Scientist at Facebook from August 2009 to August 2013.

Xin Qi has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Cornell University and a B.E. in Computer Science from Tsinghua University.

Xin Qi works with Clarence Yung - Co-Founder & Head of Design, Sam Lulla - Head of Product Marketing, and Corey Reese - Co-Founder & COO. Xin Qi reports to Eli Chait, Co-Founder & CEO.
