Derrick Davis

Derrick Davis has a diverse range of work experience spanning various industries. Their most recent position was as a Senior Account Executive at Osano, starting in May 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Why of AI as part of the Sales and Partnerships team, providing AI strategy consulting and business training services to startups and Fortune 100 companies.

Before their roles at Osano and Why of AI, Derrick held positions at organizations such as 1871 and the Illinois Technology Association (ITA). At 1871, they served as the Director of Growth Partnerships until May 2023, and previously as a Senior Manager of Membership from March 2020 to April 2022. During their time at the ITA, they held the role of Senior Manager of Membership from March 2019 to April 2022.

Derrick also co-founded BillowIP, where they focused on technology procurement strategy, specializing in areas such as cybersecurity, network optimization, and infrastructure implementation. Derrick partnered with a portfolio of industry-leading vendors to maximize cloud solutions for productivity and market expansion. Derrick co-founded BillowIP in January 2017 and continued until July 2019.

Additionally, Derrick has experience as a Client Relationship Manager at Kforce Inc from June 2017 to February 2018, as a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect/Field Technician at Birch Communications from February 2016 to April 2017, and as a Paralegal at Edelman Combs Latturner & Goodwin from July 2014 to January 2016.

Early in their career, Derrick worked as a Research Intern at the George M Pullman Educational Foundation for three months in 2013.

Derrick Davis attended the University of Chicago from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Government.
