Thom's career began in journalism at STV Group plc from July 2009 to April 2015, followed by a brief stint as Operations Manager at 118118, and as Chief Texpert at Texperts where the UK's first mobile search company was established. Thom holds a Masters degree in History from the University of Aberdeen, completed between 1999 and 2003.
