Don Reinhold

CEO at Wichita Symphony Orchestra

Don Reinhold is the CEO of the Wichita Symphony Orchestra. Don has been in this position since October 2011. Prior to that, they were the Executive Director of the Fresno Philharmonic from June 2006 to October 2011.

Reinhold has successfully built a professional staff and improved earned and contributed revenues during a recessionary economy. Don has also lead visionary strategic planning and guided the organization through transformational change. In addition, they undertook a comprehensive audience and patron development project with Target Resource Group which reversed the decline in subscribers and improved earned revenues.

The Fresno Philharmonic under Reinhold's leadership was awarded two major grants from the James Irvine Foundation for capacity building. Don also wrote successful grants to the local arts council, regional foundation, and local corporations. New programming initiatives were developed that broadened and diversified the organizational impact on the community. Partnerships were formed with school and cultural leaders to further the mission of the Philharmonic.

Reinhold was elected President of the Board for a local cultural arts coalition and inspired community-wide annual Cultural Arts Conference. Don also presented popular pre-concert lectures.

Don Reinhold's educational career includes a Bachelor of Music from Bucknell University, a Master of Arts in Music Don'story from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a degree in Music: Piano Performance from the University of Maryland College Park.
