Michael Knost

Michael Knost has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Michael is currently working as the Chief Engineer at Wicker Smith since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Dedicated IT from 2020 to 2022, holding various roles such as Director of Enterprise, Sr. Service Delivery Manager - Enterprise, Manager, Service Delivery, Enterprise, and Proactive Manager.

From 2002 to 2020, they worked at Wicker Smith as the CISO & IT Director, where they implemented multiple security technologies, outsourced part of the IT staff, and handled vendor negotiations. Before that, they worked at the City of Miami Beach as a Network Administrator in 2001, overseeing Microsoft-related technologies and network security.

In the late 1990s, they worked at IKON Technology Services as a Sr. Systems Engineer, designing and implementing network infrastructures, and as a Network Engineer at Productivity Point International, where they served as a break/fix response engineer.

In the early 1990s, they held the position of a Network Administrator at First Data Merchant Services, optimizing data center processes and generating significant cost savings. Michael also worked as a Systems Analyst in the Tours Department at Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., providing help desk support, assisting in the design process for a new reservation system, and contributing to the implementation of a new airline reservation system.

Throughout their career, Michael Knost has demonstrated expertise in managing IT operations, implementing security measures, designing and implementing network infrastructures, and optimizing processes to drive efficiency and cost savings.

Michael Knost attended Miami Dade College from 1988 to 1990, where they obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration.
