Ernie Rodriguez

VP, Wiginton Fire Protection Engineering at Wiginton Corporation

Ernie has been with Wiginton Fire Protection Engineering since its inception in 1998 as an engineer. He was promoted to Vice President of Engineering in 2002. In addition to being in responsible charge of engineering projects and services in the south Florida area, he is also involved design staff training, as well as, in the marketing and selling of fire protection engineering services.

Before joining Wiginton Fire Protection Engineering, Ernie was President of Professional Loss Control, a consulting firm, that he started in 1995. Prior to this, he was a field engineer for Hartford Steam Boiler and Factory Mutual Engineering Association (now FM Global).

Ernie received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Miami. He has been a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Florida since 1997 and holds fire sprinkler contractor licenses in several states. He is a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). He serves on the Engineering and Standards Committee of the National Fire Sprinkler Association, as well as on the Technical Committees of several NFPA Standards. He also serves on the Board of Directors for True North Classical Academy Charter School.
