Max Wartel, PhD, has a diverse range of work experience in the field of market research and analysis. Max currently serves as the Director of Consumer Insights at Fandom, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at GLG, where they held multiple roles including Senior Director of Market Research and Director of Market Research Solutions. Max also served as the Senior Manager of Quantative Insights in the Technology Division. Before joining GLG, Max worked as a Senior Research Analyst at Trellis Company from September 2017 to December 2018. Max also held leadership positions at GradLeaders (formerly CSO Research) as the Head of Research and Analysis/Austin Office Lead from September 2015 to July 2017 and at CSO Research, Inc. as the Head of Research and Analysis from January 2014 to October 2015. Max began their career in academia, working at The University of Texas at Austin as a University Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, and Research Assistant from August 2010 to May 2015. Max also served as a Research Analyst for Communication Career Services during this time.
Max Wartel, PhD completed their education in Communication Studies at The University of Texas at Austin, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Communication Studies from Eastern Michigan University, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Communication, General, also from Eastern Michigan University. Max also has additional certification in Factor Analysis and Cluster Analysis Methods.
