Trey Jones

Trey Jones is a highly experienced computational linguist with a diverse background in natural language processing and software engineering. Currently serving as a Staff Computational Linguist at the Wikimedia Foundation since July 2015, Trey has contributed extensively to the field since 2001 as the Editor-in-Chief of Speculative Grammarian, overseeing the publication of a satirical linguistics journal. Trey has held various significant positions, including Senior NLP Engineer and Director of NLP at 3M Health Information Systems, where project management and technical leadership were key responsibilities. Prior experience includes roles at White Oak Technologies, AppTek, Netpliance, Cycorp, and Clarify, culminating in a strong technical foundation. Trey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with Distinction in All Subjects from Cornell University and has furthered studies at Rice University.
