George Colbourn

George Colbourn currently serves as the Relationships and Fundraising Lead at Wikimedia UK since January 2021, previously holding the role of Development Coordinator. Prior experience includes positions at Beavertown Brewery in the production team from October 2018 to January 2021, and as a Philanthropy Officer at Epilepsy Society from January 2018 to June 2018, where responsibilities included prospect research and managing online campaign platforms. George Colbourn also worked as a Philanthropy Officer at Stroke Association from April 2015 to September 2017, focusing on major donor research and writing fundraising proposals. Additional experience includes serving as a Fundraiser and travelling representative for Liberty in North Korea, where George organized a tour to raise awareness of human rights issues, and working as a Drug Safety Associate at Covance, providing detailed reports on drug trials. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Global Development and Geography from Queen Mary University of London and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Philosophy from the University of Sussex.
