- Ability to frequently travel to remote oil field and/or project locations for extended periods of time.
- Operate Hydraulic Crane to move drilling rigs, perform production work and any other lifting jobs that may fall within the scope of crane operations.
- Disassemble, move and re-assemble cranes.
- Identify crane lifting capacities.
- Identify proper rigging and weight limitations of chokers, bridles, and chains. Ensure that all equipment and rigging is properly tagged and inspected.
- Identify lifting equipment weights, strengths, and the safe distribution of the equipment on trucks and trailers.
- Understand and follow applicable oilfield standards and codes.
- Ability to effectively communicate with and understand the needs of customers.

- Possess high integrity, intelligence and excellent judgement.
- Exhibit exceptional people skills and the ability to provide competent direction to employees.

Responsibilities Duties:
- Direct supervision of crane riggers that are assigned to operator.
- Train assigned crane riggers on proper rigging techniques and the safe setup and teardown of the equipment.
- Contribute to the company’s overall growth and profitability by driving improvements in job quality, on time delivery of crane, and overall effectiveness.
- Ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Enforce company rules and policies.
- Review inspection and maintenance reports and create work orders for necessary repairs.
- Monitor condition and maintenance of all rigging.
- Be a leader.
- Complete assigned paperwork to include but not limited to: JSA’s, Critical Lift Forms, Crane Inspections, BOL’s, & Job Tickets
- CDL with proper endorsements to drive cranes on the highway and transport cranes on flatbed lowboy tractor/trailers.
