Steven Brewer

Steven Brewer is a highly experienced professional in the field of botany and ecology. Currently serving as a Botanical Consultant for Wild Earth Allies since May 2018, Brewer contributes to the Trees of Belize Project, which promotes botanical expertise in Belize. As a Research Associate at the Missouri Botanical Garden since January 2016 and an Ecologist for the Belize Foundation for Research and Environmental Education since June 1997, Brewer specializes in various ecological surveys and data analysis. Previous roles include Plant Ecologist and Botanist at Copperhead Environmental Consulting, Inc., where Brewer conducted surveys on threatened and invasive plant species, and Assistant Professor of Plant Ecology at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Steven Brewer holds an AB in Biology from Duke University, a Master's in Environmental Policy and Administration from the University of Michigan, and a Ph.D. in Plant Biology from the University of California, Davis.
