Mercedes de Zavaleta has had a diverse range of work experiences. Mercedes began their career as an Assistant Account Coordinator at Alurralde, Jasper + Asociados, where they worked with clients such as P&G, Toyota, and Shell. Mercedes then moved on to become an Account Executive, where they continued to handle marketing, communication, and press campaigns for clients. Later, they became a Senior Account Executive, taking on more responsibility and managing a small team. Mercedes also worked as a Brand PR Director for P&G Brands at Alurralde, Jasper & Asociados, where they were responsible for strategic planning, execution of PR plans, and analysis of influencers. After that, they worked as a Responsible for Content, Press, and Internal Communication at the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, where their role involved planning and managing communication and press campaigns, generating content, and managing social media. Mercedes then joined Danone as an Internal Communication Analyst, where they handled internal communication campaigns, strategy projects, and a unification project for all business units. Their most recent role was as an Influencer Director for L'Oréal Brands at WILD FI.

Mercedes de Zavaleta completed a postgraduate course in Human Resources Management at Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina 'Santa María de los Buenos Aires' in 2014. From 2009 to 2012, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations at Universidad de Palermo. Additionally, they also studied Event Organization at the same institution from 2009 to 2011.
