Carlos Villarreal Kwasek

Art Director & Co-founder at Wild Games

Carlos Villarreal Kwasek has over a decade of experience in the video game industry. Carlos began their career in 2007 as a Character Animator at Prime Focus World, where they were responsible for concept design, look development, and 3D generalist art. In 2008, they moved to Eurocom as a CG Compositor, working on GoldenEye 007: Reloaded and GoldenEye 007 for the Wii. From 2011 to 2012, they were the Video Producer at Starbreeze Studios, leading the Video Department and creating video and motion graphics content. During this time, they worked on Syndicate for the XBOX360, PS3, and PC. In 2012, they joined DICE (EA Digital Illusions CE AB) as a Cinematics Artist and worked on Battlefield 4. Carlos then moved to Electronic Arts (EA) as a UI Artist, where they worked on Need For Speed Rivals and Need For Speed 2015. From 2015 to 2016, they were a 2D Artist at DICE (EA Digital Illusions CE AB). During this time, they also worked as a Designer on a freelance project for GHOST, Electronic Arts on Need for Speed 2015. In 2015, they were a Concept Artist (Contractor) at Amerisis Estudios. Carlos is currently the Artist & Co-Founder at Wild Games, a position they have held since 2019.

Carlos Villarreal Kwasek has a diverse educational background. Carlos obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Graphic Design and Multimedia Animation from Universidad San Francisco de Quito in 2002. Carlos then attended Vancouver Film School, where they earned a Diploma in 3D Animation & VFX in 2006. In 2014, they completed their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Illustration (Visual Communication) from University of Hertfordshire. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications from Credly, one in July 2016 and one in June 2016.
