Derek Forest

Derek Forest is an experienced drilling specialist with a strong background in well control and drilling operations across various regions, particularly in Iraq and Kuwait. Currently serving as a Well Control Specialist at Wild Well since July 2023, Derek previously held the position of Drilling Superintendent at DNO ASA, where responsibilities included managing two 1000hp rig startups and overseeing infield drilling projects. With extensive experience in high-angle well drilling, wellsite supervision, and turnkey project management, Derek’s expertise encompasses a wide range of technical and operational aspects in the oil and gas industry, demonstrated during roles at HKN Energy, KAR Group, TTOPCO, and Schlumberger, among others. Derek holds an Advanced High School Diploma from Paul Kane High School, earned between 1990 and 1993.
