Tim Burkey

Tim Burkey has a strong background in animal care and welfare. Tim has worked as a Claims Administrator at Embrace Pet Insurance since 2022. Prior to that, they were an Animal Care Technician at WILDCARE FOUNDATION, where they provided daily rehabilitative care for wildlife patients and carried out facility maintenance projects. Tim also worked as a Vet Assistant at Harvest Hills Veterinary Hospital from 2019 to 2021. Before that, they served as an Animal Technician (Birds) at Oklahoma City Zoological Park and Botanical Garden from 2016 to 2019. Tim also has experience as a Zookeeper Aide and Seasonal Zoo Keeper at Potter Park Zoological Society. In addition, they worked as a Level 1 Custodial Worker at Brody Facilities and as a Wildlife Rehabilitation Intern at Howell Conference & Nature Center. Tim started their career as a Level 3 Student Supervisor at Brody Square in 2008.

Tim Burkey attended Michigan State University from 2008 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Zoology/Animal Biology.
