Gene Lynes

Gene is the Chief Financial Officer at Wildcat Discovery Technologies. Gene has more than thirty years of experience in finance management and over fifteen years working with technology based businesses. His experience includes involvement with more than a dozen M&A transactions as well as the raising of more than $2.5 billion of capital.

Prior to joining Wildcat in 2017, Gene was the Chief Financial Officer at Kyriba Corp. where he helped lead two rounds of equity financing and obtain two new debt facilities. Before joining Kyriba Corp., as EVP and CFO of Ecova, Inc. he helped complete five acquisitions as well as the sale of the company to Cofely USA – a subsidiary of Engie (EPA: ENGI) – having been instrumental in raising both debt and equity capital.

Throughout his career, Gene has focused on assisting businesses in the development of financial and operational processes and discipline to support periods of rapid growth. Earlier in his career, he spent more than seven years in audit working for both EY and PwC while achieving the level of Senior Audit Manager.

Gene holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting degree and a Master of Science in Finance degree from San Diego State University. Gene has also completed an executive development program through the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
