Natalie Brechtel

Natalie Brechtel is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in wilderness medicine, nutrition, and safety coordination. As the owner of Gut-Z Journey since 2018, Natalie has focused on promoting intuitive wellbeing. In addition, Natalie serves as the Field Safety Coordinator for the United States Antarctic Program, providing critical support and training for scientific endeavors in extreme conditions. Other notable roles include Mountain Guide at Sierra Mountaineering International and Alpine Ascents International, and Lead Instructor Trainer with Wilderness Medical Associates International. Natalie's career began with a BA in Physical Anthropology from UC Santa Barbara, and includes experience as a Fuels Operator for Antarctic Support Services, a team member with Yosemite Search and Rescue, and various leadership roles within outdoor recreation programs.
