Derek de la Harpe

Derek de la Harpe has extensive experience in wildlife conservation, corporate affairs, and financial management. Currently serving as Chief Risk and Corporate Affairs Officer and Chief Financial Officer & Chief Sustainability Officer at Wilderness Holdings Limited since March 2010, Derek previously held the position of Principal Consultant at African Conservation Projects Ltd from 2006 to 2010, specializing in wildlife and environmental conservation and tourism development. From 1998 to 2006, Derek was the CEO of The Malilangwe Trust, focusing on wildlife conservation and rural development. Derek's career began at Price Waterhouse Management Consultants, where the role of Partner was held from 1980 to 1997. Derek holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of South Africa, earned between 1980 and 1984.
