Melissa Potter

Melissa Potter is an experienced educator in the field of Montessori and environmental education. Currently serving as a Lead Teacher at Sunstone Montessori School since August 2017 and as a Fellow at Wildflower Schools, Melissa has a strong background in early childhood education, including a role as a Preschool Teacher at Heidi's House Child Care Center. Prior experience includes coordinating environmental education programs at Columbia Springs EEC, conducting research with the University of North Carolina on oak disease, and various roles with marine mammal care and land management agencies. Melissa holds a Master of Education in Montessori Teacher Education from Loyola University Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a focus on Ecology from Sonoma State University.
