Claudio Sillero is a prominent conservation biologist with extensive experience in wildlife conservation and research. Since 2011, Claudio has served as the Deputy Director of the Wildlife Conservation Research Unit at the University of Oxford and has held the position of Professor of Conservation Biology at the same institution since April 2019. In addition, Claudio has been a Bill Travers Research Fellow for Wildlife Conservation at Lady Margaret Hall since 2003 and has chaired the IUCN SSC Canid Specialist Group since 2004. Claudio is a partner and fellow at the Wildlife Conservation Network and the founder and director of the Ethiopian Wolf Conservation Programme, roles held since 2002 and 1988 respectively. Claudio's academic background includes a DPhil in Zoology from the University of Oxford and a Licenciatura in Zoologia from Universidad Nacional de La Plata.
