Anna McMurray

Anna McMurray is an experienced professional in ecosystem services and environmental conservation. Currently serving as a Forest Carbon Technical Advisor at the Wildlife Conservation Society since May 2022, Anna previously held various positions at Winrock International from August 2015 to May 2022, including Technical Lead and Program Officer in Ecosystem Services. Earlier roles included Faculty Research Assistant at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Maryland, where Anna contributed to research and academic programs in biology and environmental economics. Additional experience includes internships and positions with organizations such as the Rainforest Foundation US, Peace Corps, and Defenders of Wildlife. Anna holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development and Conservation Biology from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies/Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
