Catherine Dougnac serves as the Scientific Director of the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) in Chile since September 2017, where responsibilities include designing, implementing, and promoting conservation programs, along with fostering research collaborations in Patagonia. Previously, Catherine held the position of Deputy Scientific Director and contributed to numerous academic roles, including teaching veterinary courses at Universidad San Sebastián and Universidad Santo Tomás. A PhD holder in Silvoagropecuarias and Veterinary Sciences from Universidad de Chile, Catherine has extensive experience in wildlife conservation and veterinary medicine, participating in various field expeditions and research projects, particularly focused on marine mammals and ecological restoration. Additional qualifications include certifications in leadership and agile methodologies.
