Rony García Anleu holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's degree in Wildlife Management from Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala. With extensive experience in biological research and herpetology, Rony García Anleu has served as the Director of the Biological Research Department for the Wildlife Conservation Society's Guatemala Program since December 2002. Prior to this role, Rony García Anleu worked as a herpetologist for expeditions at both Defensores de la Naturaleza and The Nature Conservancy, focusing on the Sierra de Lacandon National Park. Additionally, Rony García Anleu previously held a position as a biologist at Parque Nacional Tikal between July 1999 and June 2000.
