WCS Tonle Sap Landscape Program Manager at Wildlife Conservation Society

Sum Phearun is an experienced conservation professional currently serving as the WCS Tonle Sap Landscape Program Manager at the Wildlife Conservation Society since December 2018. Phearun's role includes overseeing project activities across the Tonle Sap Landscape, managing project budgets, fostering stakeholder relationships, and leading data analysis and technical reporting. Prior to this position, Phearun was a Project Manager for Lomphat Wildlife Sanctuary at BirdLife International, managing multiple staff and project budgets, and overseeing key species conservation initiatives throughout Cambodia. Phearun's educational background includes a Master of Science in Biodiversity Conservation from the Royal University of Phnom Penh and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Natural Resources Management from Maharishi Vedic University. Additional training includes a boot camp in wildlife study design and data analysis from Sunway University.
