Imam Basuki is a skilled wetland specialist with extensive experience in environmental research and management. Currently serving as a Senior Wetland Specialist at Wildlife Works since July 2022, Imam previously held the position of Peatland Hydrology and Oilpalm Scientific Lead at Winrock International from September 2017 to August 2022. Imam led a research team at The Nature Conservancy on Reforestation for Natural Climate Solutions in Indonesia and has contributed as a peat hydrologist at ASI Pudjiastuti Geosurvey. As a Technical Trainer at CIFOR, responsibilities included developing training modules related to peatlands' greenhouse gas accounting. Imam's consulting experience at the World Agroforestry Centre and teaching roles at Oregon State University further highlight expertise in interdisciplinary research and education. With a PhD from Oregon State University focused on wetlands and climate change, alongside a Master's from IPB University in Ecology, Imam has published numerous scientific documents and collaborated extensively in the field.
