Patrick Johnston

Patrick Johnston has over 25 years of work experience in various roles within the technology and publishing industries. Patrick is currently serving as the VP of Architecture and Chief Architect at Wiley since December 2018. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Platform Architecture at Wiley from April 2016. Furthermore, they worked as the Director of Information Modeling at Wiley from August 2014 to April 2016.

Before joining Wiley, Patrick worked at Thomson Reuters, where they held the position of Senior Director of Information Architecture from October 2012 to August 2014. Patrick also served as the Head of AAA, Eikon at Thomson Reuters from January 2009 to October 2012.

From 2000 to 2008, Patrick worked for Thomson Financial in various roles, including Principal Architect, Architect, Development Manager, Technical Manager, and Senior Software Engineer.

Prior to their roles at Thomson Financial, Patrick worked at I/B/E/S (Institutional Brokers Estimate System) as a Software Developer from February 2000 to July 2000, and as an Electronic Publishing Consultant from 1998 to 2000.

Patrick's career began at the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, where they worked as a Production Editor from September 1995 to January 1998. Patrick also served as a Production Assistant at The Royal Society from November 1994 to September 1995.

Patrick Johnston attended Imperial College London from 1985 to 1988, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Physics.
