Irene Silbert is an experienced ROP Broadcasting and stagecraft teacher at Santa Susana High School for Performing Arts. Irene has also directed Shakespeare plays at various playhouses and performed as a Madrigal Singer at Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum. Irene has a background in acting and singing, including roles in A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Tempest, and more. Irene co-created the School Days program in 1978 and currently serves as the Director for the Simi Arts Conservatory. Irene was also a Folk Singer for Amtrak and worked as a Lighting Director for KCAL TV and ABC TV. Irene holds a BA in Music, Anthropology, and Theatre from the University of California, Berkeley, and a MA in Theatre from California State University, Northridge.
