Josh Thomas-Ward is a seasoned network engineering professional with extensive experience spanning over two decades in various roles. Currently serving as Lead Network Engineer at Plex, by Rockwell Automation since October 2021, Josh has also held the position of Senior Network Engineer in Cloud Operations. In addition to this, Josh is a Board Member at Willamette Internet Exchange (THEWIX.NET) since March 2020. Previous roles include Senior Network Engineer at 4J School District, Network Engineer at Eugene Water & Electric Board, and positions at NERO, the University of Oregon, and California State University, Chico. WIX is a vendor neutral Internet Exchange in Eugene Oregon. The goal of WIX is to improve the quality of the Internet in our region by keeping local traffic local. Participating networks peer with each other across the peering network fabric and take part in the regional economy.
