Sudip Chowdhury

Sudip Chowdhury, PhD has a diverse work experience in research and development. Sudip is currently the Vice President of Research & Development at Willamette Valley Company since January 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Research Development from January 2020 to January 2022. During this time, they focused on the development of carbon fiber, aerogel, and resin from lignin, utilizing various polymer characterization tools.

Sudip Chowdhury, PhD, has a diverse educational background that includes degrees in various fields. Sudip began their academic journey at the University of Calcutta, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry from 1996 to 1999.

Building upon their undergraduate education, Sudip pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Wood Science and Technology at the Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, from 2000 to 2002. This program allowed him to deepen their understanding of the field and gain specialized knowledge.

Sudip's academic pursuits then led him to Washington State University, where they pursued and obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Civil and Environmental Engineering from 2004 to 2006. This program equipped him with the necessary skills and knowledge in this discipline.
