Mike Nelson

Mike Nelson has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry. Mike is currently working as a Managing Director at William Blair since September 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Managing Director at Financial Technology Partners / FT Partners from August 2018 to August 2021. Before that, they held the position of Managing Director at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey from January 2011 to August 2018. Mike has also worked as a Principal at Highridge Group, LLC, a Vice President at Silver Peak Partners, a Senior Associate - Private Equity at Republic Financial Corporation, an Associate at Piper Jaffray, and a Vice President - Payments Strategy & Business Development at Bank One.

Mike Nelson earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Brigham Young University in 2000. Mike then pursued their Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, graduating in 2003.
