Dr. David C. Lowery

Dr. David C. Lowery serves as an Associate Professor of English and Adjunct Instructor at William Carey University since January 2011, where responsibilities include teaching graduate education classes both online and in-person, along with online English courses. Concurrently, Dr. Lowery has been an Adjunct Instructor at Holmes Community College and an Adjunct Professor at Mississippi State University, teaching online graduate education methods courses. Previous experience includes a long tenure as an English Instructor at Jones County Junior College from August 2001 to August 2019, where Dr. Lowery co-advised Phi Theta Kappa and Sigma Kappa Delta. Earlier teaching roles included English Teacher positions at Northeast Jones High School and Heidelberg High School, with additional responsibilities such as Yearbook Advisor and English Department Head. Dr. Lowery holds multiple degrees from Mississippi State University and The University of Southern Mississippi, culminating in a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in English Education.
