Carla Smith

Carla Smith is an accomplished Human Resources professional with extensive experience in strategic human capital management. Currently serving as Human Resources Director at the William Davidson Foundation since November 2017, Carla partners with the President & CEO to enhance organizational culture and employee engagement. Previously, Carla held the position of Human Resources Officer at The Skillman Foundation, implementing innovative HR solutions to align with strategic objectives. As an independent Human Resources Development Consultant from 2008 to 2014, Carla provided comprehensive support in various HR functions. Carla's career also includes roles as Human Resources Manager at Ducker Worldwide and Learning & Development Manager at ITT Inc. Carla holds a Master’s degree in Training & Development from Oakland University and a Bachelor’s degree in Textile & Apparel Studies with a focus on Marketing from Western Michigan University.
