Harry Willits is the Group General Counsel at William Hill. Prior to that, they were with Gala Coral Group from January 2006 to January 2018, where they served as GENERAL COUNSEL & Co. SECRETARY. In this role, they reported to the Chairman, CEO and Board of one of Europe’s leaders in the rapidly expanding gambling sector both in the UK and internationally. Harry was responsible for management of all legal activity across the Group, advising on governance, corporate strategy, M&A & business thinking, developing ‘in house’ capacity, supporting the integration of businesses and M&A activity, restructuring of GCG divisions, leading multi-disciplinary teams, risk management, management of corporate, private and public governance issues, enabling replatforming of online business to a new platform and re-location, supplier and partner negotiating, negotiating sales, arranging insurance programme for the Group, and more.

During their time with Gala Coral Group, Harry was part of the team that negotiated and executed the merger of Gala Coral with Ladbrokes Plc and CMA clearance of merger with significant value achieved for outgoing shareholders. Harry also led all legal issues of M&As up to completion, including associated due diligence, verification and regulatory clearance. In addition, they completed the disposal of Gala Bingo to a third party, the sale of the Casino division to Rank Group Plc, the sale of Casino license for closed Casino, and the sale
