Brendan Askey-Doran has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. In 2010, they worked as an Event Coordinator at Raise Foundation. From 2013 to 2014, they held roles at The Missing Link, where they served as a Inside Sales Support and later as a Procurement and Customer Service Officer. In 2014, Brendan joined Dennis Stanley Alder Constructions as a Project Support Officer, overseeing renovations to residential properties. Brendan then joined Willoughby City Council in 2015, starting as a Customer Service Officer at Willoughby Leisure before transitioning to the role of Administrative Assistant. In their Administrative Assistant role, Brendan led various projects, implemented data management and reporting tools, and provided support in strategic planning and financial reporting. Brendan was later promoted to Corporate Planning and Performance Officer at the same company, where they automated reporting processes, improved data quality, and engaged with managers to optimize key performance indicators.
Brendan Askey-Doran has a diverse education history. Brendan started their education at Saint Ignatius College, Riverview, where they obtained their Higher School Certificate in 2007. During their time at Saint Ignatius College, their field of study included Engineering Studies, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics Ext. 1, Adv. Studies of Religion, and Adv. English.
In 2008, Brendan attended the Australian Maritime College, University of Tasmania, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science in Ocean Engineering. However, this particular degree program lasted for only one year, ending in the same year they started.
Subsequently, from 2010 to 2013, they attended Macquarie University, specifically the International College of Management, Sydney. Here, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, focusing on Event Management.
More recently, from 2020 to 2022, Brendan studied at the University of Tasmania, where they obtained a Diploma of Sustainable Living in the field of Sustainability Studies.
In addition to their formal education, Brendan has also obtained various certifications. These include a Certified Pool Operator Certificate from the Royal Life Saving Society – Australia in January 2018, an OH&S - General Construction Induction certificate from SafeWork NSW in July 2009, a Standard First Aid, CPR and AED certificate from Surf Life Saving NSW in March 2021, and a Lifeguard certification from the Royal Life Saving Society – Australia in September 2020.
